"Before painting this painting I was still reading Deleuze’s philosophy of the organ-free body, like stalk thought, fluidity, identity, and separation. After that, I wanted to paint the same person in different states, different times, and different spaces. Formed together, I found different photos of a model, at different times, but the same scene, then I used PS to combine the two photos a bit and adjusted it a bit. Be like this. I considered the Baroque movement, but it was more of De Kooning's colors and the rich layers of classical paintings. This painting is complex, composed of different times and places of the same body, so I call it Heterogeneous."
